The Lord God our Creator is amazing. His work cries out His glory.
Look around you and what do you see that astonishes you?
Today, Monday, August 21, 2017, is the total solar eclipse in America. Who else could orchestrate such a majestic display other than our God?
People have traveled from all around the world to line up along the path of the total solar eclipse to view this magnificent display.
For me, and I hope for you, it is a visual reminder of Psalm 19:1 (NKJV) …
“The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork.”
The heavens declare God’s glory!
Just look at how precise the alignment of these heavenly bodies of the sun, moon, and the earth have to be for this eclipse to happen.
The God of the universe set up this display to remind us that HE is in control.
May this bring us comfort as we witness this display (with safety glasses) or watch it from our televisions or computers.
We can take comfort in knowing that if He orders the alignment of the sun, moon, stars, and planets, then He can put in order the circumstances of our lives.
For me to witness this grand display ordered by the Creator of the Universe increases my faith. How about you?
“By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen” (Hebrews 11:3 NLT).
God spoke the word and commanded the formation of the universe. Today on Monday, August 21, 2017, He reminds us His spoken word is still working.
Today let’s put our faith in the God who set into motion the entire universe by His words, including today’s eclipse.
Therefore, we can have faith in Him to oversee the alignment of our lives. Our faith pleases Him and He rewards those who seek Him (Heb 11:6).
May the witness of this spectacular solar eclipse stir up your faith in our God!
